Following the death of his dad, Britt Reid, teams up with his dad's assistant Kato to become a masked crime fighting team.

Hello there ^^ Hello Sunday. Hope you guys have a nice weekend … this week I just chill out and watch movies at home. Do you have any plan? If you have no plan to do or to go this Sunday night . . . just rent some movies to watch . . . if you have no movies in your mind just read my review. Yesterday while I’m searching programs on cable . . . I found a movie with interesting title. It is The Green Hornet . . . why do I have to review this?

I love superhero themed movies and I think they are always attractive to superheroes’ fans, especially kids. The Green Hornet is an action comedy movie with PG-13 rate. The movie is loaded with violence but somewhat slapstick. So, parents shouldn’t leave your kids watch it alone. The main characters are Seth Rogen and Jay Chou . . . wow I think they really get along well in this film. Okie now can’t wait? Let’s focus on my review.

The story is about a millionaire playboy Britt Reid (Seth Rogen) who becomes the new publisher of Los Angeles' "The Daily Sentinel" after the unexpectedly death of his dad. Britt doesn't take his new position seriously. He and his driver Kato (Jay Chou) get really drunk and cut the head of Britt’s dad’s statue. However, they also stop a robbery, but the only thing that showed in the news is the stolen head. He found that Kato is a super genius martial artist mechanic and weapons specialist that also makes a great cup of coffee. 

From this point, Britt's party life is about to change when he gets the cool idea to be a hero and will use his newspaper to promote them as the villains. With the help of Kato, they become the masked superhero "The Green Hornet". However, the man who has united all the gangs under his power and prides himself on being the king of the crime in LA, Benjamin Chudnofsky doesn’t satisfy. He wants to take down The Green Hornet, as they destroy his lab and kill his underling. So, Britt and Kato have to cope with a complexity to the criminal network that they don’t expect . . . and more than that Britt also know more about the truth of his dad’s death. OH what is it? Watch it !!!

Anyway, if you are a person who doesn’t like sitting for a long time . . . don’t worry this movie just takes approximately 119 minutes. And don’t worry if you think it might be difficult to find a DVD as this film is just released last year. ^^ 

Overall, “The Green Hornet” is a really fun movie, I can confirm!  It has a great fight scenes and explosions, and it also brings the laughs. I already can’t wait to watch it again. Should not be missed

Hello everybody!!! After I thought for a long time about the movie which will make everyone happy in the time like this.  The film for everyone to see with your family or your friends.  Finally, I got this movie for you..

Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole 

We have seen the movie about animal several time, mostly is dogs or cats.  But we haven't often seen the movie about owl, especially the lovely owl. It has your young, inexperienced hero, initially full of self doubt; a pending invasion from the dark, powerful enemy army; and a weapon that is seemingly impossible to fight.

Let's talk about the movie;  Legend of the Guardians is the adventure animated fantasy by a skilled director Zack Synder's 300 and watchmen.  The film was adapted from the serial story name " Guardians of Ga'Hoole" by Kathryn Lasky, an American writer.  The film is taken from the first three books of the story. Moreover, the movie also has a distinctive voicing the characters by the famous actor like Geoffrey Rush as Ezylryb, Sam Neill as Allomere, Emily Barcleay as Gylfie, Jim Sturgess as Soren, Helen Mirren as Nyra, Ryan Kwanten as Kludd, Anthony LaPaglia as Twilight, and Abbie Cornish as Otulissa.  Legend of the Guardians is stared by Noctus, the old owl, who never gets tired to telling epic stories about the Guardians Of Ga'Hoole to his young barn owlets Kludd, Soren and their younger sister Eglantine. Soren and Eglantine love the story but jealous Kludd get bored with the tales of the protectors of the Kingdom of Ga'Hoole.  One day, Soren and Kludd fall out of their nest while learning to fly alone, they are kidnapped by evil owls which work for Metalbeak and Nyra of St. Aggie's, ostensibly an orphanage, where the owlets are brainwashed into becoming soldiers and there are many owlets are divided in soldiers or workers in the Pelletorium.  In this place Soren befriends the elf owl Gylfie, he and his new friends escape to the island of Ga'Hoole and they learn that the owlets are "moon-blinked" by the moon while sleeping, and while awake brainwahed.  They manage to fight the brainwashing and Gylfie's captor Grimble teaches them how to fly.  To assist its noble, wise owls who fight the army being created by the wicked rulers of St. Aggie's.  

The movie gives everyone the good point of view; Friendship-it teaches we can overcome the hurdles, if we work together well. Loyalty is the sign of a good man. The effort leads to success. And If we are goodness, it would get good returns.  

In the end, I'd say this is worth checking out if you are a fan of fine animation and are curious what an animated, PG- rated movie from Zack Synder.

Review: The Orphan

Hello there. I’m very happy to meet you again on this movie blog, how’s your weekend? Hope you guys have a good time.

A few days ago, I went to a video rental store looking for some movies to watch and review for everyone here. While I was wandering around leisurely in the store, the thing that really caught my eyes was the picture of an evil girl on the DVD front cover. Her face looks like she’s going to kill me, ha ha. She scared me a little bit. Then I read the storyline on the back of the case and I thought it seems very interesting. So I decided to rent it. The movie is called “The Orphan”

 

Alright, now I’m going to tell you what the movie is about....
The Orphan is a horror movie about the married couple Kate and John, who just lost their third newborn child. So, they decide to adopt a 9-year-old sweet looking girl named Esther. Esther receives a warm welcome from Max, their deaf daughter, while their young son, Daniel, is unfriendly to his new sister. However, Kate begins to suspect there is something wrong with Esther as she starts showing her dark sides. She is not as innocent as she pretends to be. Kate tries to find out her mysterious past like who is she? Where she came from? Who are her parents? It turns out in the end that Esther ….

Oh I must stop writing now because I don’t want to spoil the movie for anyone who hasn’t seen it. All I can say is Esther has a secret. So please watch the movie and find out yourself!

Anyway, before seeing this movie, I thought it must be a simple horror movie. What I mean is that the typical horror films that involve ghost, evil force, vampires, or serial killers have so many common elements that you can predict what’s going to happen in the next scene. So I didn’t expect much of this film.

But I can’t tell you how shocked I am. I think the movie is really great. The first thing I like in this movie is the way a director playing on the audience’s fears. Throughout the entire movie, I was on the edge of my seat screaming like crazy. I freaked out after seeing this movie. The director did a great job on including a lot of good jump scares; for example, you’re closing the mirror and somebody’s behind you, stuff like that. So I wouldn’t recommend the movie for people who have heart attacks

What’s more, the movie is awesome because of its good plot. The Orphan is quite different from other horror movies as its story is pretty unique. Although The Orphan is not the best movie I’ve ever seen but I guarantee that you won’t believe how it ends. Huge twist.
The next thing I like in this movie is that I’m very surprised to see the great performance from the kids in the movie. All three of the kids in this movie are really great especially Esther. She is so fantastic. It’s very amazing how she made such a sweet girl so fucking creepy. She makes me scared. And I also have to say the girl who plays Max is absolutely adorable. Also the actors who play as the parents are great too. They are believable.

However, the movie has a few weaknesses because some parts of the movie are nonsense. But I'm really sorry that I can't tell you cause I would spoil stuff.

All in all, The Orphan is a surprisingly good movie and I definitely recommend it. The director knows how to make the film interesting and that result in the good plot. He also knows how to play on the audience’s fears and feeling. The movie absolutely freaked me out. The actors are really great too. You will be very impressed and surprised at the performance of the three kids in the movie. I would give this movie 9 out of 10.

Don’t hesitate to watch this movie. If you don’t watch it, you will miss something extremely exciting in your life.

My favorite’s fairy tale

Even though, Children’s Day passed already but it isn’t too late to make yourselves like a child again. Let’s begin with a little bit of question, Have you ever heard the sentence that begins with “Once upon a time”? And when do you hear it? The first answer that I think about is this sentence is a basic sentence which begins in every fairy tales for example Snow White, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast and so on. Do you wondering why it has to begin with this sentence? I was wondering for a long time until now and it stills no idea in my mine.

Today I would like to bring you back to the past, and ask you some question “What is your favorite’s fairy tales?” maybe in your mind now or in the past and “Why do you like it?”

For me my favorite’s fairy tale is “Cinderella” and I wish to be like her even though her life is pitiful as same as other fairy tales. I like this fairy tale because of the unfortunate circumstances that are suddenly changed to remarkable fortune. The beginning of the story makes Cinderella pitiful. On the other hand the end of the story Cinderella is the happiest character in the story.  Nowadays, there are several versions of Cinderella but I would like to present “Cinderella Movie version 1989”. The story of "Cinderella" has formed the basis of many notable works such as opera, ballet, ice show, films, books, song and video game. I know that everyone already know the story of Cinderella. So we can move to another point.

This story gives me three points of view. First, the story tells me that the beauty is a treasure but the graciousness is priceless. You can see this from the main character or Cinderella that she charming from inside and outside. Second, the story tells me that without doubt it is a great advantage to have intelligence, courage, good breeding, and common sense. These are similar talents come only from heaven and it is good to have them. Third, goodness always wins wickedness which you can see from the end of the story that Cinderella marry with the prince and the stepsister marry with two lords.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

Have you ever read Sherlock Holmes? Do you think the film is Sherlock Holmes?  If you thing Sherlock Holmes is just action movie, that means you are wrong.

Today I would recommend this interesting movie for you.  Sherlock Holmes is adapted from the famous crime fiction of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and was directed to the film by Guy Ritchie.

First of all, let’s talk about the main actors of the story; Robert Downey, Jr. as Sherlock Holmes, Jude Law as Dr. John Watson, Noomi Repace as Madame Simza Heron, and Jared Harris as Professor James Moriarty. The film is about the detective names Sherlock Holmes who has always been the smartest detective. Until there is a new criminal mastermind at large; Professor Moriarty and not only is he Holmes' intellectual equal, but his capacity for evil, coupled with a complete lack of conscience, may actually give him an advantage over the renowned detective. When the Crown Prince of Austria is found dead, the evidence, as construed by Inspector Lestrade, points to suicide. But Sherlock Holmes deduces that the prince has been the victim of murder. A murder that is only one piece of a larger and much more portentous puzzle, designed by Professor Moriarty. With Dr. John Watson who is Holmes’s longtime trusted associate, about to marry and end their partnership, a disconsolate Sherlock Holmes occupies his time investigating the schemes of his archenemy, Professor James Moriarty. However, when Moriarty warns that he considers the Watsons a legitimate target for his retaliation against the detective, Holmes must save them and get John involved in one last case. To do so, they join the Roma lady Madame Simza Heron's quest to find her missing brother, Renee, who may be the key to defeating Moriarty. Together, the trio find themselves involved in a dangerous international conspiracy led by the Napoleon of Crime in which the fate of all of Europe hangs in the balance.

The movie has the interesting plot;besides the movie is farcical and funny. I am sure that if you watch this film, you will love the investigation movie more!!!

Now, it’s time for you to update Hollywood showing movie. There are 3 Hollywood now showing movies which are an action drama war movie “5 Days of War” directed by Renny Harlin, also an action crime drama movie “Contraband” directed by Baltasar Kormákur  and a drama movie “My Week with Marilyn” directed by Simon Curtis. This week I will pick only “5 Days of War” to present to you.

First, let’s talk about the actor, the actress and move to the plot summary. The actor is Rupert Friend from “The Young Victoria” in 2009 and “Pride &Prejudice” in 2005. The actress is Emmanuelle Chriqui from “You Don’t Mess with the Zohan” in 2008. This movie is about Inspired by the real events of the swift--but devastating--five-day war between Russia and the Georgian Republic in 2008, this vivid, heart-pounding film centers around a renegade American journalist, his cameraman and Tatia, a young Georgian school teacher caught in the combat zone during the first Russian air-strikes against Georgia, as the three attempt to escape to safety, they witness--and document--the devastation from the full-scale crossfire and cold-blood murder of innocent civilians. They desperately attempt to broadcast the footage they've captured while under attack from the Russian soldiers and local mercenaries, but are met with resistance from American and international networks either shorthanded from covering the Beijing Olympics or simply fatigued by war news. The trip realizes their survival is paramount, so they can live to broadcast truth.    

Relax yourselves in a comfortable armchair and cool atmosphere with some snacks and beverages. I hope you have some new idea about activity in this week. By the way, the movie that I wanna review today is an action comedy movie since I love an action comedy movie so much and moreover I’m one Bruce Willis‘s fans  !!!!! our main character.

RED stands for “retired, extremely dangerous”.

It was directed by Robert Schwentke and is rated PG-13 for lots of violence and strong language. RED is inspired by DC Comic.

The story is about Frank Moses (Bruce Willis), he is an Ex-C.I.A. super-assassin.

He isn't adjusting well to retirement, and he begins to feel lonely and bored. Frank later knows Sarah, a customer service agent who is working for his pension. He tries to create opportunities to talk to her. He complains about his missing retirement check. The missing check is just a trick. In fact, he just wants a girl to talk to.

  However, his life is changed when a hit squad raids his house in the middle of the night. Frank kills the assassins and knows that they would have tapped his phone. Frank goes to Kansas City to protect Sarah and he tries to find out who is trying to kill him. He seeks out his old retired buddies from the CIA: Joe, Victoria and Marvin. Will they know why they're being targeted by killers? Let’s watch the movie now.

Review: Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Do you love monkey? Have you ever thought about bringing a monkey into your home? You might wonder why I’ve come up with the questions about monkey. That’s right! Today I would like to review a monkey movie named “Rise of the Planet of the Apes”, which is one of my favorite movies of all time.

The movie is about Will, a researcher who tries to find a cure for Alzheimer's disease. He has been doing an experiment on guinea- chimpanzees by injecting them with serum to make their brains bigger and better. There is one female monkey named Bright Eyes who is very smart and she has a baby monkey named Caesar. Bright Eyes is shot by security guards, so Will has to take Caesar home and raise him until he grows up. Caesar is as smart as human. However, he begins to question his identity if he has been raised as a human “pet”. He starts to feel different from humans and, of course, he really wants to get back to his nature….

I have to say that this movie is absolutely amazing. It almost feels like two films with the first being a science-fiction story about the scientists doing the research on an extraordinary subject, while the second film focusing on action when the apes trying to escape to get back to their nature.

One thing that I can’t forget to mention is the CGI. It helps the apes’ facial expressions look more real. You understand why they’re mad. You feel for them. You feel sad when they get injured. Moreover, all the actors did a great job making their characters alive and believable.
One disadvantage of the movie is that you can predict what’s going on in the next scene. Once the movie starts, you know where’s going to end.

All in all, I honestly can say that the movie is worth watching. It is not only the movie about the apes attacking the city, but it teaches a lot of stuff in it too. Good plot, strong characters, incredible graphics! The movie deserves 9/10.

 

I guarantee watching this movie makes you love monkeys even more!

I really like fantasy movies and the movie that I wanna recommend is Aquamarine

The movie that I wanna review is quite old…about 6 years ago but I think it’s still a great movie whenever I watch it :) it’s Comedy, Drama and Family movie let’s see if you like about mermaid story

 

The story is about two teenage Claire and Hailey who find a lovely mermaid names Aquamarine

She tells them that if they help her to find true love she will give them blessing

Her target is Raymond ! a guy that Claire and Hailey are also fall in love but friendship is more important

However not only Claire and Hailey wanna be Raymond’s girlfriends but a girl names Cecilia is also

Can they help Aquamarine and get blessing or not Watch this movie !!!
